Called the “ touch of the heart ”, Californian massage began in the 1970s. This approach aims as much at relaxation as at awakening a psycho-body consciousness. It starts with webbed pressures in order to understand the different areas of the body, the tensions and the body density in order to adapt the touch.
Enveloping and relaxing, the maneuvers follow one another and intensify in order to relieve deeper tensions. The more the person being massaged surrenders to the experience, the more they are open to what Californian massage describes as “touching the heart”.
